AR-K: Episode 1 - Sex Lies and Classwork walkthrough
The
game starts introducing you to a few thoughtful questions, that the main
character asks herself, and that you'll understand at the end of this chapter,
followed by a cut scene where we'll get a first look at Alicia, who's really
having some fun. After the main title and such stuff, we see Alicia getting up
from bed, in a bit chaotic room, quite satisfied about last night's party. The
first thing you have to do is going to the wardrobe and get your clothes changed,
so as soon as you open it there's a new cut scene, in which a post-it falls of the
inner side of the door, where a bunch of papers and notes are posted. The
post-it shows a drawing of some kind of sphere and we then see the rest of the
news and papers posted there, among them there's one that reminds about the
appointment we have with Professor Reitherman. So Alicia runs to the shower, and
leaves us to see a cut scene where she tells us about some background story.

So,
once Alicia is dressed up you can interact with all the objects around the room,
listen to a few funny lines and get to know a bit more of the backstory. For
example, at the wardrobe you can change up to a quite “provocative” dress
that she's got, but should change back to her normal costume, because she'll
refuse to go almost anywhere with that dress. To advance in the game go to the
street, where the policeman by the entrance will speak to you. You can talk to
him as much as you wish and then go into bar at the other side of the street,
there Alicia will introduce you to the place, and its owner, Frankie, an alien
who is essentially a good guy. There you'll find Nuno, your room mate, but he's
been passed out since last night and Alicia won't be able to wake him up. Frankie
will tell you that he got too drunk last night. Alicia wants to wake him up so
he can tell her who did she pick up last night, as she doesn't remember anything,
so Frankie suggests a solution, which consists on a drink that he prepares
himself with 4 ingredients that you'll have to find. Before going on to find 'em
you can talk to him about some other things, and you should ask him about your
handbag and a bracelet that you lost last night. He'll tell you to try at the
lost property office at the university. But before that you can give him a
couple ingredients. In any case, when you are unsure of what you're looking for,
you can come back to Frankie and ask him about the Corpse reviver, and about each
particular ingredient, and he'll give you a few hints. Lets see:
-Something
that warms up:
We'll
start with the fastest one to get. For this one you just have to take the spice
that is at the left side of the bar counter, that will happen to be Tabasco.
- Something that gives you Goosebumps:
It
refers to something really disgusting, and you can also get it in the bar. Ask
Frankie for burguer “with everything”, which is made with all of the
ingredients that Frankie's got in the larder. For this, talk to Frankie and
select the line that says “Hmmm...
I have an unbelievable hangover. I'm not going to drink again.” When he gives
it to you, go out of the bar, and give the burger to you dog Ambar. And she will
spit out after chewing it for a brief time, so pick up what she spits, and give
it to Frankie.

University
Before
resuming the search of the rest of the ingredients, you have to go to the
university, to talk to Professor Reitherman about a work for class, but you're
late. As soon as you enter you'll run into William Wallruce, the porter, a
sarcastic and unusual guy, you'll like him. Talk to him so that he points you out
to where the Professor's office and go there. Before going into the office,
click on the plate next its door, where you'll get Reitherman's Office phone number,
which you can use later in the game. Click his door and he'll open. As
Alicia is slightly late and Reitherman hate's her, he'll tell her that he won't
give her any work, but he tells her to deliver a job, made by herself and
related to the ones he was handing out. So you'll have to break into his office
to find a work to do, but that will be later.

We
take this chance to get the rest of the ingredients:
-
Something that cleans up:
Here
you'll have to be a bit of a hooligan. Go to the vending machine at the hall,
where the porter is. There pick a can of skunk of each flavor, and mix the Skunk
Cola with the Skunk-U-Nancy (this is the two that are not yellow) and use it
with the cleaning robot that is upstairs. So Alicia will spill the mixture on
the floor, and the robot will break down when it tries to clean it. Once it's
broken, pick up one of the cans from the compartment that just opened on the
robot.
-Something
that awakes him:
Well,
yes, we all take the same thing to wake up: coffee. There's no need for you to
do the following, but I'll explain it all the same. If you talk to Wallruce and
ask him about Reitherman, he'll tell you that he is a great person and you'll be
able to refute him with 3 arguments and once you have told him all three of them,
you can tell him that it's impossible that he thinks that. He will then confess
that he also hates him and that he hates the coffee machine that he had installed,
which prevented the employees from going to the bar to have a coffee and relax
for a while, and that he wishes that somebody would break it. So you take note of
that.
Now
yoyo ask him about lost property and he will open up the compartment where they
are stored. There Alicia will find her handbag and another object, but she can't
pick it up since it's not hers. She notices that there's a brick inside the
handbag, that we can use to break the coffee vending machine, when the machine
is broken the professor will come by and when he asks Wallruce about what's
happened, he'll mock him. Once the Professor is gone, you can go to the coffee
machine, and pick up some glasses, and with one of them you can pick up some
coffee too. And this is the last ingredient, so we can now wake up Nuno, or may
be not?.
Reitherman's Office

Go
to the bar, and you'll see Reitherman is there, but you can't talk to him. Once
you have given every ingredient to Frankie, he will make the Corpse reviver and
give it to you. If you try to give it to Nuno right away, Frankie will tell that
you're going to spill it, and that you should use some kind of funnel to give it
to him. So then you'll have to get a funnel, for what you'll have to first go to
the street outside the bar, there, if you click on the windows over the entrance
to the residence, Alicia will tell you that, in Block “A” lives a quite rude
guy, who throws at you whatever he's got if you wake him up. You can try to have
Ambar bark at him, but she doesn't make enough noise, so you'll have to be a bit
of a punk and throw some Super Skunk at the sewer that is at the left side of
the street. That will cause an explosion which will both scare Bollizei and wake
Munzzer (the guy from Block “A”), who will throw you a bottle of liquor.
Pick it up and go talk to Wallruce, and offer him some liquor. He'll refuse at
first, but if you choose the line that says “Well,
man. It's just a few drops. To make your morning lighter. Nobody will find
out.” , he will let you put some liquor on his flask, and will drink it, that
will cause him to fall asleep, accidentally hitting a button that will get the
Lost Property storage open, you can then pick up from there the object that you
saw sooner in the game, that will happen to be Nuno's camera. Then, if you look
closely, you'll see some keys under the counter, hanging off Wallruce's belt,
pick them up and use them to access Reitherman's office (who is at the Too Fast
Too Foodious now).

At
the office you can look at different objects, such as his desk, trophies … But
the important thing is, in one hand, his computer, or in this case some kind of
tablet that they use at that time, which lies on top of his desk. Click on it and
you'll get some info, that he's just received, regarding a warehouse at the
industrial estate where there's “enough material to write the article of his
life”, so our friend won't hesitate to go there to obtain information to do
her class work, that is due that day. Then take a good look on the drum of
water, you'll see a filter underneath it that can be used as a funnel for Nuno.
So go back downstairs and to the bar to wake up the kid.
Waking
up Nuno
Get
to the bar and put the filter in Nuno's mouth and give him the “corpse reviver”.
After a brief cut scene Alicia takes Nuno back home and cleans last night's mess,
later Nuno downloads the photos and shows them to Alicia and he finally reveals
who is the guy his friend hooked up with, who works at the club where she was
last night. You borrow his camera to investigate about what you've discovered in
the professor's computer.
Warehouse
Go
back to the street, an to the left you'll have the option to go to the subway.
From there you get to some sort of industrial park, at the door of the warehouse
you need to go is a keeper “reading” a pornographic magazine, you won't be
able to convince him to let you in (no matter if you lie, flirt or make up some
random excuse, it's just not going to work), what you have to do is go back to
your room and put on the sexy dress in your closet; go back to the doorkeeper
and talk to him again, when he sees you he'll be “impressed”; it's the time
to make your move, make Ambar take his magazine, to do this click on the dog an
then on the magazine, after this Ambar will run away with it and the doorkeeper
will follow her, you can now get in the warehouse. Once inside the warehouse is
pitch black, move the pointer into the darkness until it changes into a question
mark and click, after a brief cut scene the lights will be on, at this point pick
up the bar next to the door and use it to jam it, also pick up the rope hanging
on the wall, now move to the left side of the building, here you'll see a shelve
with an object on it, to get it you need to knock down the shelve, to do it tie
the rope you just found on the shelve and ask Ambar to pull it, when you pick up
the object another cut scene will start.
Finding
the truck

You
are back at the Too Fast Too Foodious having a conversation with Frankie, he'll
suggest that you continue your research looking for the truck you just shoot,
your best chance is to ask the policeman at the street near the dorm, to do this,
just choose the “ask about ...” option on his dialogue menu and click on
“truck” on your PDA, he will say that he doesn't recognize it, but if you
press him he will admit he is unwilling to cooperate with you because you've
been rude to him. So we'll have to convince him, for this we'll have to go
through a conversational puzzle, you'll have to tell him that your father always

You
can get the answers from various NPC's, Frankie, Wallruce and Bob for his career

the university.
If

him:

you were a modern agent, absentminded and quiet. (You learn this asking Wallruce,
Frankie and Bob about him)
2.
He said that
you studied, patrolled and was decorated. (And this from the same sources).
3.
Otto (Yu
learn this from the bulletin board, there's a guy there who wants trade an old
coffee machine for a skunk vending machine, and signs as Otto).
Once
you've finished he'll tell you that that truck delivers drinks to all of the establishments
belonging to the Ziusudra group around that area, and will give
you a list of them. So Alicia will
explain that one of the establishments in the list is the club she went last
night, so you'll have to go back there to gather some info and retrieve her lost
bracelet.
How
to enter the Club
You'll
notice you can't go to the subway, so go to the university. When you're halfway
between the university and the dorm, where you can see the university from a distance, search with your mouse to find a statue, the represents a famous
professor called, Eward Leopold, so now you can ask for “Statue” in the
“ask about ...” menu. At the university you'll see the stand is now open and
there's is an annoying alien selling tickets to the club there. You'll also see
Nuno sitting on a window at the second floor of the faculty. To go past the
motorcycle you'll have to click it, so Alicia will go around it, but Ambar will
be stuck and stay out.

If
you looked at Reitherman's Plate (just next to his office's door) you can use
the phone that is next to the door to call him, if not, go upstairs and look at
it. When you call Reitherman you have to convince him to get Bob to move his
motorcycle and put it under the window, for this, call him and select the option
“statue” in the “Ask about ...” section, so Alicia will impersonate
Leopold's assistant, and inform Reitherman that he'll be visiting him that same
afternoon. So when Reitherman comes down to wait for Leopold and sees Bob's bike
there, he makes him move it, and he places it just under the window.
Now
you have to go upstairs and talk to Nuno, in this conversation choose any option
until Nuno gets up and pretends he's going to jump off the window, at this
point, select Ambar and then use it on Nuno, she'll bark and scare him, so he'll
fall off the window and crash Bob's bike. So now go back downstairs, and outside
the faculty, and you'll see Bob standing next to his bike, so now you can take
your chance to steal a ticket to the club from his stand.
Go
back to the dorm's street and take the subway.
The
truck

You'll
now be on a street where you can only go straight, until you see the truck you
have looking for, Alicia run after, followed by Ambar, who will overtake her and
jump inside the truck while Alicia reaches the truck just in time to climb at
its rear end. So now you'll have to find your way into the truck, For this you
have to click on the window, this will start a conversation with Ambar, select
the line that reads “Aw! Help!”, so Ambar will cry, you can now either calm
her down, which leads to nothing or ask for help again, which will cause Ambar to
jump against the door, crushing it. The door will now be slightly opened, so you
can now use the rope you took at the warehouse, and tie it to the lock. Now you have
to use the rope again with one of the streetlights that pass by the truck,
Alicia will throw the rope at it cowboy-style, and it will tear the door apart.
So now you can just go in, Alicia will be surprised for what she just found.
And
it is done
Alicia
will be back at her dormitory, telling you what she discovered and then she'll
go to the club, where you'll see the ending cut scene and find out about diverse
things. But you can find out all about it when you see it, so enjoy the cut scene
