FROGG ADVENTURE /by Automata/ ============================= Here will be given a complete step-by-step solution. This game uses unusual method of giving commands. Instead of typing commands, at each location there is a list of possible commands for this location, so you need only to pick a command from the list, by pressing the appropriate number key. Also, to solve the adventure, you must also solve three simple embeded puzzle games and two very simple arcade games... Desctriptive solution: ---------------------- TAKE THE PATH, TAKE PATH TO BRIDGE, STOP FOR A WHILE AND GO FISHING. Now, to get a fishes, you must play a simple arcade game. RETURN THE WAY YOU CAME, LEAP FROG OVER THE WALLS, ENTER KITCHEN, PICK UP COFFEE, GO INTO THE COURTYARD, GO INTO THE GUARD'S ROOM, GIVE THE GUARDS COFFEE (else the guards will not let you pass through red door), CREEP THROUGH THE RED DOOR, BRAVE THE DARK STEPS. Now you must solve a simple puzzle game to escape from the dungeons. At the exit you will find a white coat; by wearing it, somebody will believe that you are scientist. ENTER KITCHEN, GIVE THE COOK SOME FISH (the cook believe that you are a fisherman; if you didn't give fish, you will be asked for a fishes when you try to go through a window), GO INTO THE DINING ROOM, ENTER THE MAIN HALL, ENTER THE GRAND HALL, GO UP THE E STAIRCASE, GO UPSTAIRS, TRY THE DOOR MARKED LIBRARY, TAKE SOME BOOKS, TAKE SOME NEWSPAPERS, GO THROUGH THE WEST DOOR, GO THROUGH THE OPPOSITE DOOR, GIVE THE WEASEL NEWSPAPERS (else you can not take the bucket), TAKE THE CLEANING BUCKET (so somebody will believe that you are cleaner), GO BACK TO THE LANDING, TRY THE DOOR MARKED LIBRARY, GO THROUGH THE EAST DOOR, GO DOWNSTAIRS, GO DOWNSTAIRS, GO THROUGH THE DOUBLE DOOR, TRY THE COMMUNICATION ROOM, GIVE BOOKS TO TISCHOU (he will send you to pick a ladder), BEAT A HASTY RETREAT TO THE HALL, GO THROUGH A DOOR NEXT TO THE DINING ROOM, TAKE THE LADDER (impossible if you didn't give books to Tischou), GO BACK INTO THE HALL, ENTER THE GRAND HALL, CLIMB THROUGH THE WINDOW (you must have a white coat, a ladder and a bucket to pass), USE YOUR GRAPPLING HOOK TO CLIMB ONTO THE LIBRARY ROOF, TRY TO CLIMB UP TO THE WINDOW USING THE PILLARS. Now, you must solve a simple puzzle to enter the laboratory and save professor Mole. GO DOWNSTAIRS, GO THROUGH THE DOUBLE DOORS, MOVE OUTSIDE (you must use this way else the guards will catch you). Now, you must solve a simple puzzle to feed the animals, and escape from the animal pit. MAKE A DASH FOR THE CAR. Finnaly, you must play a simple arcade to arrive in the village with Mole. Comment: -------- Unusual game, like all Automata games. Very easy to solve, so it is very good for beginners, and for everybody which doesn't want to guess appropriate words needed to solve some problems. This game is menu driven, without a parser. Some of pictures are animated. When solved, this game displays a score in range from 1 to 5. If you played this game using my solution, you will get final score 4 or 5, depending of the time needed to finish puzzles and arcades. Note: My version of this game was pirated version, with some bugs caused by improper cracking. Before uploading this game on World of Spectrum, I debugged it. This is a reason why Martijn van der Heide puts my name together with Automata in the "Producer" field of WOS database.
